I Love You

Holly Kennedy, portrayed by Hilary Swank, is a beautiful, smart, and happily married woman to the love of her life, Gerry, an impulsive and charming Irishman played by Gerard Butler. When Gerry's life is ended by an illness, Holly is left devastated. However, Gerry, knowing her better than anyone else, had planned ahead. Before his passing, he wrote a series of letters to guide her through her grief and help her rediscover herself. The first letter arrives on Holly's 30th birthday along with a cake and a tape recording from Gerry, urging her to go out and celebrate.

In the following weeks, more letters from Gerry are sent to Holly in unexpected ways, each one leading her on a new adventure and ending with the signature: P.S. I Love You. Holly's mother, played by Kathy Bates, and her best friends, Denise (Lisa Kudrow) and Sharon (Gina Gershon), worry that Gerry's letters are holding her back, but in reality, they are propelling her forward into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a touching, thrilling, and often comical journey of self-discovery.
