Dave P. Fisher introduces the first book in a new Western adventure series! During the final days of the war, Confederate Major Jason Wells sustained fatal injuries. Sergeant Nolan Callahan stayed by his side as he struggled in vain to seek help. In his last moments, the Major grabbed Nolan's arm and uttered, 'I have cattle land in Arizona, I give it to you. In Tucson, see a man named Seabrooke – tell him'. Nolan pondered over the Major's dying words, knowing little about Arizona, but keeping it in mind.
Lee’s surrender occurred a few days later. Nolan, along with his brothers and a friend from Texas, returned to Arkansas. When he mentioned the Arizona land to them, they volunteered to accompany him. He agreed, and they embarked on a thousand-mile journey into the untamed territories of west Texas. The perilous expedition proved to be challenging, but as they survived the elements, outlaws, Comanches, and Apaches, their expertise in the wild lands grew.
Upon arriving in Tucson, Nolan located Thaddeus Seabrooke at the land office. The property turned out to be half of an old Spanish land grant purchased by Jason Wells. Seabrooke informed Nolan, 'It’s yours, if you can hold it against the Apaches, cattle thieves, Yankee carpetbaggers, and Emiliano Zamora. The odds are against you'. This was the beginning of a cattle empire. Despite the odds, they were determined to hold onto it!
